Throwback to my days as an ABC News sound person/stringer. In 1989, I was among the first on the scene in Valdez, Alaska, where a tragic oil spill unfolded in Prince Willliam Sound. Within hours, the area swarmed with international press. I spent 40 days in Valdez and Anchorage, witnessing the aftermath of the devastating incident.
